Shirakabe, Higashi Ward, Nagoya, a historic land where people who supported modern Japan lived
In 1612, when the castle was relocated from Cheongshu Castle to Nagoya Castle as a countermeasure against liquefaction caused by an earthquake, a samurai residence district was built on the white wall on the east side of Nagoya Castle. It was done. A white wall was built around the samurai residence, which is said to be the origin of the place's name. In addition, business figures who supported Japan's modern manufacturing industry (such as the Toyota family and Akio Morita, the founder of Sony) lived there, establishing its status as a high-class residential area. The Japanese-Western fusion mansion on the site of more than 2,000 tsubo, where Japan's first modern actress, Sadakko Kawakami, and the electricity tycoon, Momosuke Fukuzawa lived together, is called the Futaba Palace due to its novelty and luxury. Many famous people gathered. The current mansion was relocated and restored to a location in Tsukasagi-cho, becoming Bunka no Michi Futabakan, and has been registered as a national cultural property.

Cultural path FutabakanA box filled with art to create an extraordinary space
Considering a lifestyle that enriches the sensibilities, we prioritized a sense of openness without interfering with the interior space as art that blends with architecture, and used mural art (murals) that can be used outdoors as a barrier. We paid particular attention to the materials and construction methods to match the history of the castle town that has continued since the Edo period.
LIVING
LDK has a feeling of openness 64.1㎡ (41.4 tatami)
To draw attention to the colorful mural, the overall tone of the interior is muted to create a contrasting effect of color. In order to add organicity and softness to the muted LDK, we focused on the light projection, lighting, and furniture to create a sharp impression.
GARAGE
Capable of 4 large SUVs built-in garage
The spacious garage is equipped with security cameras, security sensors, EV/PHEV charging outlets, motion sensor lights, standing water taps, ventilation fans, and other equipment to make living easier.
KITCHEN
Modern technology and traditional crafts Beautiful kitchen combination
It is designed to be isolated and make its presence stand out. The island side is finished with a bright ceramic board with a sandstone look, the back is made of oak oak wood with flak coating, and the storage joints are diagonal to eliminate the presence of storage. The textured walls are finished with engineered paint on a plaster base to emphasize the contrast with the simple kitchen island.
The kitchen door is decorated with a famous chestnut pattern that imitates the image of clouds, giving it a different look.
ENTRANCE
In pursuit of natural light and lighting,Designing the beauty of light
Art using dried flowers is placed at the entrance to give an organic impression, while the entrance storage is made of simple maple veneer to match the color of the trunk.
POWDER ROOM
Enjoy an extraordinary experience in the open powder room
The large storage door with a mirror finish in the powder room, which expands the space, also functions as a full-length mirror. There is also a washing machine and gas dryer inside the storage room.
